SPRAY BOOTHS
There are 3 basic types of spray booth filtration:
Dry Baffle Filtration Spray Booth
Paint overspray is filtered from the airstream through a series of metal baffles. These baffles are normally coated with a peel-off coating to allow quick and easy cleaning. The advantage of this system is the lower operating cost due to minimal consumables required.
Water-wash Spray Booth
Paint overspray is collected in a water curtain. A coagulation agent in water causes the paint particles to coagulate, making it easy to remove the paint from the water. This model is generally used for high production volumes as this system can be cleaned during operation without requiring downtime.
Cardboard / Fibreglass Media Filtration Spray Booth
Here, paint overspray is filtered from the airstream through a cardboard or fibreglass media filter. As these filters have to be replaced on an on-going basis, the operating costs are relatively high, and plant shutdown is required to remove and replace the filters. However, spray booth manufacturing costs are low.
DRYING EQUIPMENT
At SCT, we manufacture batch and continuous drying facilities for drying paint. The advantage is quicker drying times and constant output rates independent of seasons and ambient temperatures. We manufacture drying equipment with three types of energy sources – electric, diesel or gas-fired drying.
